2025 Clarinet Day at Baylor University

The Baylor Clarinet Day is aimed to help top high school students prepare their TMEA All- State etudes for the upcoming region auditions. In addition to a masterclass on the TMEA All- State etudes, students will get to participate in mock auditions, receive written feedback from our judges and partake in workshops helping them fine-tune their preparation process for audtions. 

In addition to all these activities, the students will get to perform a concert with the Baylor University Clarinet Choir and try instruments and other clarinet equipment from our sponsors and vendors.

This event is open to all high school students including those who play Bb clarinet, Eb clarinet, bass clarinet and other clarinet auxiliaries.

Registration period is October 1st through October 31st, or until all available spots have been filled—whichever comes first.

If all full participant spots are taken, please register as a partial participant. On your form, indicate that you are interested in playing on the mock audition if a spot becomes available. You will then be added to the waiting list and be notified once a spot opens up.


Registration Fees:
  • Partial Participant ($15)- Observe masterclass, seminars, and play in the clarinet choir.
  • Full Participant ($25)- All of the above activities + participation in the mock audition and the opportunity to apply to perform on the masterclass.

Mock audition:
We have a limited number of spots available for the mock audition. These will be assigned first-come, first-served basis. Please submit your payment for the Full Participant fee to secure your spot at the mock audition. The selected students will be notified via email by November 4th.


Masterclass:
If you would like to be considered to perform on the masterclass, please completete the registration form and pay the full participant fee. 

Once submitted, you will receive within several days via email detailed instructions on how to submit your audition video. Please record a 1-3 minute video of you performing the etude/s that you would like to perform on the masterclass. Audition videos are due by October 31st. The selected students will be notified via email by November 4th. 

Clarinet Choir:
All participating students are invited to play with the Clarinet Day Clarinet Choir. The choir will rehearse and perform one piece alongside the Baylor University Clarinet Choir on the concert at the end of the Clarinet Day. PDF scans of the music will be sent to you via email by November 9th. Please learn your part before arriving so you are prepared for our rehearsal and concert. 

Clarinet Day T-Shirt 
All participants will receive an official Clarinet Day 2025 at Baylor University T-Shirt upon checking in.

Cancellation Policy
Students who cancel their registration by 3:00pm on Monday, November 10, 2025 are eligible to receive a full refund of the clarinet day registration fees. Please send an email to baylorclarinetday@gmail.com by this deadline if you would like to cancel your registration. Students who fail to notify us via email of their intent to cancel their registration by this deadline are ineligible to receive a refund of any portion of the registration fees.
