At the Hankamer School of Business, we foster a culture of innovation to serve the global marketplace. Our seven academic departments offer 13 majors, three certificates and three integrated degree programs. The Business School also has an honors program—Hankamer Scholars—that provides high-achieving students with flexible and creative degree plans.
Students have a variety of innovative and experiential learning opportunities at the Business School. The Department of Accounting and Business Law boasts a job placement rate of 98 percent for their five-year Accounting graduates. The Entrepreneurship program has consistently ranked among the top programs in the U.S. by The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report. The Business School is also one of only a handful of universities to offer a Professional Selling program, which has maintained a 100 percent job and internship placement rate for years.
Professors realize the importance of experiential learning in their courses. The Department of Marketing offers classes in nonprofit marketing as well as concentrated courses in sales strategy and analytics for the sports industry. The Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate provide students with courses that focus exclusively on risk management and real estate.
The innovation extends beyond the classroom as well. The Baylor Angel Network Practicum offers seniors the opportunity to carry out the day-to-day operations of the investor network, providing the student analysts with a real-life education in the inner workings of angel investing. Upperclassmen can join the Business Excellence and Scholarship Team, an innovative educational approach that functions as an honors program to expose students to integrative thinking and real-world problem solving.
